Automotive Racing Products (ARP) started in 1968, in Southern California. Their product line includes everything from engine and driveline fasteners for OEM replacement parts to exotic specialty hardware for the Formula 1, Indycar, NASCAR, NHRA Drag Racing, and Marine Applications. They produce a number of specialty products like cylinder head fastener kits, connecting rod bolts, exhaust manifold/header fastener kits, oil pan fastener kits, piston ring compressors, and more.
ARP High Performance Series main bolts are rated at 180,000 psi and a popular premium replacement for OEM fasteners. Designed to meet the exacting standards and demands of professional engine builders, ARP bolts are forged from 8740 chromoly steel and feature a reduced wrenching head, large underhead radius, and rolled threads for the utmost in reliability. The threads are rolled after heat-treating which gives them about 2,000 percent better fatigue strength than most main bolts that are threaded prior to heat-treating. Hardened parallel-ground washers are included with each kit.
