This VW alternator produces 55 amps and is perfect for upgrading from a 6 to a 12 volt electrical system. It is internally regulated and comes in a beautiful chrome finish. Designed to fit 1.6 L 1975-1979 Beetles and Vanagons but will work with most 40 HP or larger engine.
